Blackboard Collaborate Maintenance from Sat, 02/04, 9:00 p.m. to Sun, 02/05, 1:00 a.m.

Blackboard will perform scheduled maintenance (February 2017 Update) to Collaborate from Saturday, February 4, 9:00 p.m. to Sunday, February 5, 1:00 a.m. Central Time.

The time frame will be four hours. The service will be unavailable during this time frame.

Blackboard Collaborate Maintenance on Mon, 01/30, 3:00-4:00 a.m.

Blackboard will perform emergency hotfix maintenance to resolve recent outages on Monday, January 30, 3:00-4:00 a.m. Central Time. The maintenance will affect all clients joining Collaborate webconferences. Sessions already in progress should not be affected.

Request eCampus Courses for Spring

Instructional Technology Services (ITS) reminds Instructors of Record and instructional staff of the spring 2017 start-of-semester procedures and the fall 2016 end-of-semester procedures for managing courses in eCampus.

Go to eCampus Tools to request eCampus courses for spring.

eCampus Course Management
    • Spring 2017 courses can be requested through eCampus Tools
      • Courses are created within 30 minutes and include student enrollments
    • Fall 2016 courses will be removed from student view on Monday, January 16
Updates to Member Management in eCampus Tools
    • Auditor enrollments available, with updated help documentation on ITS Docs
    • Account creation when enrolling users who do not have accounts
    • Multiple enrollment rows return to the enrollment form
    • Enrolled users will receive notifications of their assigned roles
Attention Instructors Who Use i>clickers

To ensure the TAMU Bookstore has an adequate inventory of i>clicker remotes in stock, please inform them if you intend to use the devices for your spring course(s). Email Mary Smith at textbooth@tamu.edu.

Students: Don't See a Course Listed?

Not every course is delivered in eCampus. Instructors must request their courses are loaded into eCampus and then they must make the courses available to students. Your course may appear later in the semester or not at all. Refer to the eCampus Course List for availability.

If you are missing a course your instructor indicates should be in eCampus, please first check your schedule in Howdy to confirm your enrollment. After verifying your enrollment, please send an email to helpdesk@tamu.edu with the course information.

Upcoming eCampus Scheduled System Maintenance

Instructional Technology Services has scheduled the following production-level maintenance to occur after final grading is complete for the fall semester:

eCampus: Blackboard System Upgrade
Thursday, December 29, 4:30 p.m. to Saturday, December 31, 12:00 p.m. (noon)

Access to eCampus will be unavailable during the scheduled time frames. Please plan system activities accordingly by modifying or rescheduling eCampus-related activities during this maintenance period.

In addition, the eCampus link in Howdy will be temporarily redirected to the eCampus website at http://ecampus.tamu.edu, instead of directly going to the learning management system, from Friday, December 23 to Friday, January 6. This temporary link change will better gate keep access to eCampus through a single access point to accommodate for the maintenance time frames above.

Turnitin Maintenance on Sat, 12/03, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

The Turnitin.com service will be undergoing essential maintenance on Saturday, December 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Central Time.

All Turnitin.com services will be unavailable, including Mobile and Integrations, which includes submissions sent through eCampus.
